2,200 more job cuts at Shell

Royal Dutch Shell has announced a further 2,200 job cuts, in addition to the 2,800 already announced in the wake of the merger with BG Group. Last year Shell laid off 7,500 staff.

“Despite the improvements that we have made to our business, current market conditions remain challenging,” said Paul Goodfellow, Shell’s vice president for UK & Ireland.
