LPG blaze kills at least 10 off Crimea

Two Tanzanian flagged LPG carriers caught fire in a giant blaze on Monday in the Kerch Strait near Crimea with a number of crew rescued, 10 seafarers confirmed dead and another seven missing.

The huge fire was caught on video and Russian authorities say the flames spilled from one ship to another as they transferred cargoes. Other unconfirmed reports claim one of the ships was targeted by Russian aircraft. Survivors were seen leaping into the Black Sea.

The ships are reportedly named Maestro and Candy.
