Roswell revealed as mystery buyer of FSL product tanker

Michael Karayiannis led Roswell Tankers has been revealed as the buyer of Singapore’s FSL Trust’s MR product tanker FSL Hamburg.

FSL announced the sale of the 47,500 dwt tanker last week, although did not disclose a buyer or price. Several brokers are now reporting Greece’s Roswell Tankers as the buyer, listing the price at $11.6m to $11.8m for the 2005-built vessel.

Data from VesselsValue also shows that Roswell was behind the acquisition of K Line’s nine-year-old aframax, the 115,000 dwt Singapore River, for $23.3m last month. The vessel was originally linked to Latsco Shipping.

Roswell Tankers currently has a fleet of six tankers, the largest being the 1999-built MR1 Aquila at 35,800 dwt.
