Green Shipping Line partners with Kongstein in offshore wind
US company Green Shipping Line has signed a memorandum of understanding with Norwegian marine services provider Kongstein to provide a complete offshore wind farm supply solution in the United States which will include consultancy services, a U.S. Jones Act compliant shuttle service, as well as development opportunities at several U.S. ports.
Green Shipping Line is planning to build a fleet of Jones Act feeder ships that offer transport services for containers and trailered cargos between US ports. According to the company, it has finished designs for the vessels and they are ready for construction at Moran Iron Works in Onaway, Michigan. The vessels will offer services from American ports to the various states’ wind farm installations.
