HJH CSL jv exercises bulker option at CSSC Chengxi
A joint venture by Canada’s CSL group and German Hartmann family’s HJH Shipmanagement has exercised an option with CSSC Chengxi Shipyard to build one 40,000 dwt self-unloading bulk carrier.
CSL and HJH formed the 50/50 joint venture last year and signed for one 40,000 dwt bulker plus one option at CSSC Chengxi.
The vessel, which will be equipped with a scrubber, is scheduled for delivery in early 2021.
The vessel will be chartered on a long-term basis to the Mibau Stema Group, a joint venture between the Heidelberger Cement and the Hartmann family, to transport construction materials.
