Diana Containerships changes name to Performance Shipping

Greek boxship owner Diana Containerships has announced that it is changing its name to Performance Shipping with immediate effect.

The name change, which was voted on by shareholders last week, was announced during the company’s fourth quarter and full year 2018 results. A net loss of $52.9m was reported.

Performance Shipping, which will continue to trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker DCIX, owns a fleet of two panamax and two post-panamax containerships.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
