Rowan awarded a pair of jackup contracts

Offshore driller Rowan Companies has secured new contracts for two jackup rigs.

The 2009-built Ralph Coffman has been awarded a 180-day contract in Trinidad. The contract is expected to commence in April 2019. The rig is currently under contract with GulfSlope Energy in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

Additionally, BP in Trinidad has exercised a two-well option for the Joe Douglas, immediately following the current well. These exercised option wells are expected to last until May 2019. The rig has been awarded one more two-well option.
