Taiwan Navigation in Japanese kamsarmax dash
Taiwan Navigation is developing its kamsarmax fleet. The owner has placed orders in Japan for four 80,000 dwt ships, split evenly between Oshima Shipyard and Namura Shipbuilding. The ships are Tier III compliant and will come with scrubbers when they deliver in 2020. No price has been revealed.
Taiwan Navigation currently has four kamsarmax bulkers in its diverse fleet which also includes panamaxes, handymaxes, five product carriers, nine tugs and a ferry plus two boxships on time charter.
The ship orders are the first ships ordered by Taiwan Navigation this year and will take its fleet to around 40 vessels.
