Tianjin Southwest books two VLGCs at Jiangnan Shipyard

Tianjin Southwest Maritime has signed a newbuilding contract with Jiangnan Shipyard for the construction of up to two 86,000 cu m VLGCs.

The contract includes firm order for one vessel and an option for another one. Other contract details were not disclosed.

Tianjin Southwest Maritime has previously ordered five VLGCs at Jiangnan Shipyard, the last two vessels delivered this year.

Tianjin Southwest currently operates a fleet of 24 vessels, comprising of seven tankers and 17 LPG carriers.
