Imabari wins first Greek VLCC order

Imabari, Japan’s largest shipyard, has received its first VLCC orders from a Greek owner.

Angeliki Frangou’s Navios Group has secured early delivery slots for a landmark order in Japan, signing for four firm 311,000 dwt tankers with delivery slated from Q3 2020. The ships are coming with scrubbers fitted. No price has been revealed for the orders.

Imabari has now closed out its 2020 available slots.
