Wah Kwong offloads handysize bulker

Hong Kong shipowner Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings has sold 2012-built handysize bunker Bonnie Venture.

The sale, which has been confirmed to Splash, is said by brokers to be around the $9.75m mark to European buyers. The price is slightly higher than the VesselsValue valuation of $9.6m, although MSI places a fair market value of $11.2m on the Chinese-built vessel.

Wah Kwong, controlled by the Chao family, will be left with a fleet of 20 vessels after the sale made up of 14 bulkers and six tankers.
