AKR Sea Transport orders tanker pair at PaxOcean

Indonesian shipping company PT AKR Sea Transport has placed an order for two 5,000dwt product and chemical tankers at PaxOcean.

PaxOcean will build the two vessels in its Zhuhai yard in China and delivery is scheduled in the third quarter of 2018. Pricing of the deal was not revealed.

PT AKR Sea Transport is a subsidiary of Indonesian logistics service provider and port operator PT AKR Corporindo.

In January PaxOcean won another Indonesian order, from Jaya Samudra Karunia, for the construction of a floating storage regasification unit.
