Angelicoussis confirms bulker order at Waigaoqiao

John Angelicoussis’s Anangel Maritime Services has officially signed shipbuilding contracts with CSSC-affiliated Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for the construction of two 210,000 dwt newcastlemax bulk carriers plus an option to construction two more.

Deliveries of the vessels are scheduled in 2019 and 2020. Other contract details were not disclosed.

So far Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has built 17 vessels, both bulkers and tankers, for affiliate companies of Angelicoussis.

The latest order will increase Anangel Maritime’s bulker fleet to 53 vessels.
