Another 300 staff face the chop at Wood Group

Oil services firm Wood Group will axe another 300 UK office-based staff from its North Sea operations.

“We are streamlining our structure and our processes to reduce costs and an inevitable outcome of this is an impact on our employee numbers,” said cfo David Kemp.

Wood Group has already laid off staff in the downturn and is negotiating pay cuts at the moment too.
