Ansheng Shipping to expand into international business
Chinese domestic container shipping operator Ansheng Shipping has announced that it will expand its service to international destinations, and plans to move into the Southeast Asia market.
Antong Logistics, the parent of Ansheng Shipping raised RMB700m ($105m) in 2016 for acquisitions. The company said it has decided to cancel part of the acquisition plan and use the funds to invest in reefer containers to meet the demand from both domestic market and international market expansion.
Ansheng Shipping currently operates 15 owned containerships and another 20 under financial leasing arangements.
