APM Terminals quietly inserts new CFO

Oslo: Maersk’s top performing business unit in 2014 has quietly inserted  Henrik Pedersen as its new CFO after firing three top officials.

The new CFO is no newcomer in the industry and has been with the Maersk Group since 1998. He has previously served as CEO of APM Terminals’ Asia-Pacific Region.

Erik Eisenberg, APMT’s vice president for communications, confirmed with the Wall Street Journal that CFO and vice president Christian Møller Laursen, CCO Martin Gaard Christiansen and the head of implementing global projects, Michael Lund Hansen, had been let go.

“They were asked to leave because they did not follow internal business policies,” said Eisenberg.

A spokesperson for APMT declined to elaborate on the sackings when contacted by Splash.
