Aramco opens Asia headquarters in Beijing

Beijing: One of the world’s largest oil and chemical producers Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) announced on Tuesday that the company has set up its Asia regional headquarters in Beijing.

Aramco Asia, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, will provide services of crude oil and chemicals marketing, joint venture coordination, procurement, research and development, and project management. In addition, Saudi Aramco also established two supporting branches in Shanghai and Xiamen.

“Aramco Asia will offer a full range of services and resources for the handling and management of robust business between Saudi Aramco and our partners and companies in China, and the wider Asia region,” said Sulaiman M. Ababtain, president, Aramco Asia. China has surpassed the US as the largest importer of Saudi oil.  [14/11/12]
