Arkas launches first Moroccan cabotage service

Arkas Maroc, a subsidiary of Arkas Shipping, has launched Maroc Feedering which will perform domestic feeder operations within Morocco under the Moroccan flag.

The Turkish company said that 900 teu containership Philippe A has been acquired by Maroc Feedering and has started shuttling between Tangiers and Casablanca. A call at Agadir is to be added to the rotation from next October.

“Launched in anticipation of Tangier Med doubling its capacity over the next two years, this is, significantly, the first cabotage open to all carriers” Arkas said in a statement.
