Arne Fredly makes VLCC play

Norwegian investor Arne Fredly, via his own company Apollo Asset, is in the process of re-branding failed Oslo listed oil service company Hunter Group, formerly Badger Explorer, into a VLCC pure-play, infusing four VLCC newbuilds plus three optional berths at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).

The newbuilds range in price from $82.5m to $85.5m with deliveries from 2019 into 2020.

A private placement is planned to add investors to this new tanker play.
