Atlantica Shipping acquires boxship from Hansa Treuhand

Oslo-based Atlantica Shipping has acquired 2004-built containership HS Discoverer from German owner Hansa Treuhand, according to broking sources.

The 2,672 teu vessel sold at a price of $6.25m.

This latest acquisition will increase Atlantica Shipping’s fleet to seven vessels comprising of three containerships and four bulkers.

Hansa Treuhand is being forced by banks to slash its fleet in half, and has offloaded a total of 14 vessels in 2017 including three in August.
