Norwegian offshore firm Awilco Drilling says it has resolved a $22.8m dispute with Apache North Sea over standby revenue billing for semi-submersible rig WilPheonix.
The companies have agreed that the disputed billing with be cancelled and that the three-year contract between the two companies will be extended by the number of previously disputed days.
WilPheonix commenced a contract with Apache North Sea in 2014 on a three-year deal, which includes a 27-month extension option. The rig entered Hartlepool Shipyard for a planned 60-day rig stay in November 2015, however Awilco had to wait months for Apache’s final project acceptance on the upgrade.
