Belships scores pair of charters for newbuilds

Oslo: Norwegian dry bulk specialist has announced charter deals for a pair of supramax dry bulk vessels set to deliver from Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding.

The 61,000dwt Belforest, set to be delivered in September, has been chartered to Cargill for a period of 10-14 months. The charter will produce an EBITDA of $1.15m according to Belships.

Sister vessel Belisland, due for delivery in March 2016, has been chartered to Canpotex for a five year period.

Belships is headquartered in Oslo led by Ulrich Müller (pictured), with offices in Singapore, Shanghai and Tianjin, and has been stocklisted in Oslo since 1939.
