Bhagwan Marine continues expansion with Delta Subsea acquisition

Australian offshore vessel operator Bhagwan Marine has acquired Perth-based subsea engineering consultancy Delta Subsea, less that a year after it announced a move into the subsea sector.

David Husband, MD of Delta Subsea, will join Bhagwan Marine as part of the acquisition taking up the role of subsea engineering manager.

Paul Guilfoyle, general manager of subsea at Bhagwan Marine, commented: “The Delta acquisition greatly strengthens Bhagwan Marine’s Subsea Engineering capability and effectively enhances our capability as an emerging leader in shallow water subsea IMR services in Australia. I have worked with Dave and his team for many years and I am very excited about the future with what his team brings to the table.”

Bhagwan Marine launched its subsea division in March 2015, offering diving, ROV, survey and engineering services.

In January Bhagwan acquired Broadsword Marine for $25, picking up 24 vessels in the process to add to the more than 150 in its fleet.
