Singapore: BNP Paribas is getting back into greater ship finance activities and is looking to especially bolster its presence in Singapore. Terrence Yiu, currently md of the bank’s Hong Kong ship finance operations will shift to the Lion Republic as part of the process. “We are building up our ship finance right across the region,” Arnold Wu, BNP Paribas’s head of shipping and offshore finance in Asia told SeaShip News.
“Though the market is still down,” he added, “we want to be in a strong position when the industry picks up.” [09/04/13]
