Manila: October 27 sees the arrival of Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas at the Philippines’ most famous beach resort Boracay Island for the first time, an event that has spurred the island to chase more cruise business.
More than 1,800 tourists are set to see the famous White Beach at Boracay, located in the central Visayas region of the archipelago. Tourism officials said yesterday that more cruise calls have been fixed for 2014.
The Royal Carribean cruise ship will drop anchor in an area near Boracay Island and its passengers will be transported via a floating pontoon. [19/10/12]
