BP comes in for Iraq’s Khor Al-Zubair port
Dubai: BP, the British oil and gas company, signed an agreement with Iraq to build a new oil terminal in the port of Khor Al-Zubair in southern Iraq, as the OPEC member country seeks to secure the help of international oil companies to develop its dilapidated infrastructure.
A spokesman for the General Company for Ports of Iraq said that the company signed this week a five-year contract with BP to build a new advanced terminal for receiving refined petroleum products shipments and also export products in the future to replace the current decaying port. [02/05/13]
