Bumi Armada bags host of charter deals

 

Kuala Lumpur: Bumi Armada Berhad has announced that its subsidiaries have in October secured firm contracts valued at approximately RM147m, and another RM102m if all the extension options are exercised. 

Bumi Armada Navigation has secured a contract from Total Gabon, a Gabonese company, for the charter of one accommodation workboat for an initial charter period of three months at approximately RM12m, and three options for Total Gabon to extend the charter period for one month each for a further aggregated contract value of RM11m. The same subsidiary has also bagged a contract from Diamond S.A., a company based in the Republic of Congo, for the two-year charter of one Anchor Handling Towing Support Vessel. The deal is worth at approximately RM36m, and two options for Diamond to extend the charter period for one year each for a further aggregated contract value of RM35m.

Bumi Armada Berhad has also secured two contracts from Rawabi Swiber Offshore Marine for the charter of one Anchor Handling Towing Support each. The total contracts are worth approximately RM43m is for a period of one year firm each.

Finally, another subsidiary, Armada Offshore OSV Limited, has secured a contract from Diamond for the charter of one Accommodation Work Barge. The contract is for an initial charter period of two years at approximately RM56m, and two options to extend the charter period for one year each for a further aggregated contract value of RM56m.  [25/10/12]
