Burmese ship sinks off the Philippines

Manila: One person died, two were injured and a further 14 were missing, presumed dead, Sunday following the capsizing of a Burmese ship on Saturday night in the northwest of the Philippines.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and a Chinese vessel rescued the remaining survivors of the Arita Bauxite ship on Saturday night. The coast guard said the ship suffered engine trouble and experienced rolling and eventually sank.  [18/02/13]
