Byzantine in for LR2s

Byzantine Maritime of Greece has come in for a one plus one order of LR2 tankers at South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding. The Mario Stafilopatis-led firm is believed to be paying in the region of $44.5m per ship, according to broking reports.

The Tier II, 114,900 dwt ships will deliver in the final quarter next year, filling out spaces at the yard which has struggled for orders in recent years.
