Chemikalien Seetranspot sells MR tanker

Brokers report that German tanker player, the family-owned Chemikalien Seetransport has fetched a healthy $15.8m for its most modern chemical tanker. The 2008-built ship Gandhi has already been renamed by its Greek buyer Leon Shipping and Trading to Leon Hermes.

The ship is double the size of the two existing ships on Leon’s chemical player fleet.

The German outfit on the other hand can boost a healthy fleet of medium range and handysized product tankers in addition to its chemical tankers and also has trio of large scale bulkers as a side business.
