Chinese oil giants change leadership

Dalian: China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has announced that it has appointed Yang Hua as president of the company, while former CNOOC president Wang Yilin has been appointed as president of PetroChina to take over the retiring Zhou Jiping.

Yang Hua joined CNOOC in 1982, and in his 33-year career in the company he has served as managing director of CNOOC Southeast Asia, CFO and CEO of CNOOC.

Wang Yinlin had served as the general manager of PetroChina’s Xinjiang Oil Field and vice general manager of PetroChina before he moved to CNOOC as president in 2011.

Meanwhile, Sinopec has appointed Wang Yupu as the new president of the company to replace the Fu Chengyu, who has retired. Wang Yupu has served as the president of PetroChina’s Daqing Oil Field, the largest oil field in China, vice governor of Heilongjiang, and vice director of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
