COSCO Dalian Shipyard has announced it has won a US$170 million order from Talland Navigation, subsidiary of Foresight Limited, to build a jack-up drilling rig based on the LeTourneau Super 116E Class design.
The rig will be built to ABS classification and will be a self-elevating drilling unit with a drilling depth of up to 30,000 feet. It will be capable of operating in 350 feet water, with accommodations for up to 120 persons onboard.
The rig is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2015. [14/08/12]
