Cosco Shipping orders four asphalt carriers at CSSC Chengxi

Cosco Southern Asphalt Shipping, a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping, has signed shipbuilding contracts with CSSC Chengxi Shipyard for the construction of four 7,500dwt asphalt carriers.

The vessels will be deployed in the company’s long range international services upon delivery in 2018.

Cosco Southern Asphalt Shipping currently has 11 asphalt carriers in its fleet and has another two 13,000dwt asphalt carriers under construction at Qingdao Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry.
