Crowley Maritime signs contract with Penn Terminals for Puerto Rico container service

Jacksonville, Florida-based Crowley Maritime Corp has signed a stevedoring and terminal services contract with Penn Terminals.

The multi-year contract, effective from January 1, 2018, will see Penn Terminals, located on the Delaware River in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, handling Crowley’s weekly Northeast container shipping service to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Previously Crowley had run the service from Petty Island in Pennsauken, New Jersey, but that contract is due to expire at the end of this year.

The Eddystone terminal is six miles south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and 11 miles north of Wilmington, Delaware.
