Dae Sun wins boxship order

Seoul: Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering has won an order for an 1,800 teu ship from Dongjin Shipping.

Dae Sun now has six 1,800 teu ships on its backlog. The two companies have worked together over many years.

The 1,800 teu design Dongjin has opted for allows for the maximum amount of cargo to call at the draft constrained port of Bangkok, perhaps ushering a new term in the shipping lexicon, the bangkokmax.
