DHT fixes four on time charters

Oslo: New York-listed DHT Holdings has booked time charter contracts for four of its vessels.

VLCC DHT Chris (309,285dwt, built 2001) commenced a 10 month charter in February with a major commodity house at a rate of $45,000 per day. Aframax vessels, DHT Sophie (115,000dwt, built 2003) and DHT Cathy (115,000dwt, built 2004), have been chartered to an oil major for a period of 24 months commencing April/May 2015 at $22,500 per day. Lastly, Suezmax DHT Target (164,626dwt, built 2001) goes to an oil major this month for 12 months at $30,000 per day.

DHT says the four contracts will contribute $20m after operating expenses and debt servicing over the last three quarters of this year. The Olso-headquartered company has 18 tankers on the water, 14 of them VLCCs, with an additional 6 VLCCs on order.
