Diana Containerships fixes post-panamax boxship to Wan Hai

Greece’s Diana Containerships has entered into a time charter contract with Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines for 2008-built post-panamax container vessel Rotterdam.

The new charter, commencing January 26, is at a rate of $13,150 per day for a period of 120-170 days. The contract is at almost double the day rate of $6,890 currently being paid for the vessel by CMA CGM.

Diana expects to generate around $1.58m from the deal based on the minimum time charter period.
