Diana Containerships fixes post-panamax to Wan Hai

Greek owner Diana Containerships has entered into a time charter contract with Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines for 2009-built post-panamax containership Hamburg.

The charter, which commenced on December 2, is for a period of 120-220 days at a charter rate of $11,000 per day. The rate is a substantial increase on the $6,700 per day previously paid by CMA CGM.

The charter will generate around $1.32m of revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
