Diana Containerships sells panamax boxship for scrap

Greek owner Diana Containerships has reached an agreement to sell 2006-built 4,923 teu panamax boxship New Jersey for demolition on an as is where is basis.

The 65,123 dwt vessel, which has been laid up off Malaysia since June 2017, was sold for a price of $9.67m and will be delivered to the buyer by the middle of next month.

Diana Containerships will be left with a fleet of eight vessels, four panamax and four post-panamax.
