Diana Shipping fixes panamax bulker to Glencore

Greek owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Glencore Agriculture for 2014-built ice class panamax bulker Crystalia.

The charter will start immediately for a period of 12-15 months and a gross charter rate of $11,100 per day. The rate is substantially higher than the $6,250 per day previously paid by SwissMarine.

Diana Shipping, which has a fleet of 51 dry bulk vessels, says the deal will generate around $4m of revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
