Diana Shipping fixes panamax at higher rate

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Korea’s Unico Logistics for panamax dry bulk vessel Maera.

The 9-11 month charter commences today at a gross charter rate of $11,900 per day, substantially higher than the $8,500 previously being paid by Dutch firm Transgrain Shipping.

The 2013-built Maera will earn Diana Shipping around $3.21m based on the minimum scheduled time charter period.
