Diana Shipping gets charter contracts for three bulkers

Diana Shipping has announced new time charter contracts for two capesize vessels and a panamax.

2010-built capesize New York has been fixed to Koch Shipping on a time charter contract for six months from April 23, at a charter rate of $14,450 per day.

Another capesize, the 2002-built Norfolk, has entered into a time charter with Trafigura Maritime Logistics. The 6-8 month charter commences April 26 at a day rate of $12,000.

Lastly, a 13-16 month charter has been secured for 2001-built panamax vessel Nirefs at a rate of $9,400 per day. The charter is expected to commence on May 4.

Diana Shipping says the deals will generate around $8.03m of gross revenue based on the minimum charter periods.
