Dynacom Tankers snaps up VLCC from K Line

Greek owner Dynacom Tankers has acquired 2004-built VLCC  Fujikawa from Japanese owner K Line.

According to a report by Clarkson, the Japanese-built tanker attracted a healthy level of interest with around eight parties inspecting and four parties submitting offers for the vessel. It was eventually sold for $27.2m to Greek buyer, with VesselsValue identifying Dynacom Tankers as the buyer.

Only last month, K Line sold sister vessel, VLCC Isuzugawa, also built in 2014, to Greek owner Eastern Mediterrane for $25.5m.

“It is noticeable that secondhand values have reacted quickly to improved VLCC freight markets in the last month,” the Clarkson report noted.
