Eidesvik Offshore PSV contract extended by Statoil

Oslo: Eidesvik Offshore has announced that Statoil has extended their contract for LNG powered PSV Viking Energy for a further year from April 2015.

The new contract has an option included for a further two years. “We are very satisfied that Statoil once again has extended a contract with Eidesvik,” remarked Eidesvik ceo Jan Fredrik Meling.

The Viking Energy has been out on charter with Statoil since it was first delivered in 2003, and was the first LNG fuelled PSV in the world. Eidesvik now has five LNG fuelled supply vessels in its fleet of 26 vessels made up of supply, subsea and seismic vessels.
