EMAS Offshore appoints new CEO

Offshore services provider EMAS Offshore has announced that it has appointed Adarash Kumar as its new chief executive officer, effective from September 25. Jon Dunstan, the current ceo has resigned in order to pursue other interests outside of the company but will remain until February 2016 for handover.

Kumar, 55, has more than 25 years of experience in the marine industry. He will be joining from Ezra Holdings where he was chief operating officer and prior to joining Ezra was assistant general manager of Bumi Armada Navigation.

“With his vast number of years of experience in the offshore industry, Capt. Kumar is a strong business leader we are fortunate to have in today’s challenging oil and gas environment. He will be able to bring strategic insights to drive EMAS Offshore’s performance, maintain our leading position in Asia, and penetrate West Africa, which we have identified as a key market for us to grow in,” said Lee Kian Soo, EMAS Offshore’s executive chairman.

EMAS Offshore was formed in July 2014 when Ezra’s EMAS Marine consolidated with EOC Limited.
