Enterprise Products Partners acquires land for expansion of hydrocarbon terminal on Houston Ship Channel

Houston, Texas-based midstream oil company Enterprise Products Partners (EPP) has announced an expansion of its Enterprise Hydrocarbon Terminal (EHT) on a newly acquired 65-acre site to the east of the existing terminal.

EPP plans to build at least two deep-water docks with suezmax-handling capabilities. The site, on the Houston Ship Channel, features two existing docks and dredging infrastructure.

The announcement did not reveal the selling party nor the price but it did say the size of the site gives EPP enough land to significantly expand its marine terminalling potential.

EPP’s network of marine terminals along the Gulf of Mexico coastline includes 18 ship docks and eight barge docks.
