Erasmus Shipinvest bulker runs aground in US Gulf of Mexico

A panamax bulker has reportedly run aground in the US Gulf of Mexico offshore New Orleans.

The 2004-built Glory Trader, owned by Erasmus Shipinvest, grounded on Tuesday and refloating attempts are under way.

While shipping lanes around the vessel remain open, ships in the vicinity have been advised to proceed with caution.

No fuel spill or injuries were reported.
