Dubai: The European Union has voted to put the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) back on a list of sanctioned firms.
Iran had been hopeful that sanctions would be lifted on its top tanker firm this year. However, it has been hit by plenty of accusations of reflagging and renaming ships to try and avoid the sanctions, with the Tanzanian registry coming in for particular stick.
