Ezra’s EMAS AMC wins project offshore Trinidad and Tobago

Singapore’s Ezra Holdings has announced that subsea division, EMAS AMC, has won a contract with Australia’s BHP Billiton for the Angostura phase 3 development in the eastern Trinidadian sector of the Venezuela basin, offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

The work includes the project management, fabrication, construction and installation of 12-inch flowline along with a complete subsea package comprised of control umbilicals and detailed engineering, construction and installation of the pipeline end manifold and inline sled for the development.

Lionel Lee, Group CEO and managing director of Ezra, commented: “I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with BHP Billiton on this key development in Trinidad and Tobago, which is an exciting new market for us.”

Engineering and procurement has commenced from EMAS AMC’s Houston office, and the fabrication of subsea structures and stalking and spooling of flowlines will be carried out at the EMAS Marine Base facility in Ingleside, Texas. Offshore execution is expected to commence mid-2016, utilizing the subsea construction and reel lay vessel Lewek Express.
