Farstad Shipping sells off PSV at $2m loss

Oslo: Oslo-listed offshore specialist Farstad Shipping has announced today that subsidiary, Farstad Marine, has sold PSV Far Superior (3,796 dwt, built 1990).

The new owner, who was not revealed, took delivery of the Ulstein-built vessel today.

Farstad Shipping said the sales will give a booked loss of around NOK15m ($2m). The Far Superior is the second vessel the company has sold within two months, having offloaded AHTS Far Sky (13,382 bhp, built 1991) in March.

The company’s fleet is now down to 61 vessels.
